In Britain and most of the Western World they are worn with or without an engagement ring, on the third finger of the left hand. Traditionally the Wedding ring was made of yellow gold, usually 18 Carat, however now we sell Wedding rings in White gold, Rose gold, 9 Carat, 14 Carat, 18 Carat and 22 Carat gold. The metal has also changed, we now sell wedding rings in Platinum ,Palladium, Titanium, Zirconium, Silver and Stainless Steel, wedding rings were usually a plain band of gold, however they can now be shaped round any style of engagement ring. The traditional eternity ring, now often referred to as a Circle of Diamonds, has recently become very popular as a Wedding ring, and, for instance, a thin "channel set" circle of diamonds works extremely well with a diamond engagement ring, as it draws the eye to the central diamond, and actually enhances the diamonds, due to the refraction of light. All our rings are sourced in the UK from manufacturers that supply UK hallmarked wedding rings to jeweller stores across Great Britain. The reason our rings are so much cheaper is that ringsrus.co.uk is an online only rings shop so our shop being virtual pays no rent rates or staffing costs saving you the customer 20-40% on the prices charged on the high street.
Engagement Rings An engagement ring is a ring worn by a woman indicating her engagement to be married. In the United Kingdom, it is worn on the left-hand ring finger, while in other countries, such as Poland and Ukraine, it is customary for the ring to be worn on the right-hand. In Western tradition, an engagement ring is a ring worn by a woman indicating her engagement to be married. The inception of the engagement ring itself can be tied to the Fourth Lateran Council presided over by Pope Innocent III in 1215.[1] Innocent declared a longer waiting period between betrothal and marriage; The diamond engagement ring did not become the standard it is considered today until after an extensive marketing campaign by De Beers in the middle of the 20th century, which came to include one of the most famous advertising slogans of the 20th century: A Diamond is Forever. In the early 20th century, the United States jewellery industry attempted to start a trend of male engagement rings, going so far as to create a supposed "historical precedent" dating back to medieval times. The attempt failed, although the industry applied lessons learned from this venture in its more successful bid to encourage the use of male wedding rings.[5] [edit] Price By modern convention

We offer unbeatable prices for quality circles of diamonds, which are a favourite companion for a solitaire diamond engagement ring. We can also add diamonds to any plain wedding band, please phone or email for a quote.
Eternity Rings Eternity rings which are now often called "circles of diamonds", are a traditional present, given on the birth of the first child. The rings under a quarter carat are usually set alongside the engagement ring, and tend to draw the eye along to the central diamond on the engagement ring. Some customers prefer a half eternity ring, on the basis that the other half of the ring is not seen anyway. As there are half as many diamonds, then it follows that each diamond is twice as big in a quarter Carat half eternity, as in a quarter carat full eternity. Half Carat and bigger eternity rings are usually given as right hand rings.

Titanium Titanium Titanium was first discovered by William Gregor in 1791 who didn't know what it was until in 1795, Austrian chemist Martin Klaproth identified it as a new element, called it number 22 and named it Titanium after the Greek Gods - The Titans. It has a high corrosion resistance, due to the ability of the material to, when scratched or machined, form a protective oxidised surface almost instantaneously. Divers and surfers like Titanium rings because of high corrosion resistance to salt water. A number of men who do not wear a ring prefer the weight of a titanium ring to some of the heavier metals such as gold. For this reason an increasing number of men who previously thought they would never wear a ring are happy with their titanium wedding band.
Palladium Rings Palladium is a rare and lustrous silvery-white metal that was discovered in 1803 by William Hyde Wollaston, who named it palladium after the asteroid Pallas, which in turn, was named after the epithet of the Greek goddess Athena, acquired by her when she slew the giant Pallas. One of the attraction of Palladium is that it can be made into a wedding ring, and be paired with a Platinum engagement ring at a third of the current price of Platinum. Palladium is also added to Yellow gold, to make White gold.
Zirconium Rings Most people when asked what zirconium is will tell you it is a material not unlike a fake diamond. That is not correct it is a bit like comparing hydrogen to water they are thinking of zirconia or zirconium dioxide in its cubic form or cubic zirconia. This is not what pure zirconium is at all in fact its a metal with similar properties to titanium, not a diamond like crystline structure. Available as both a silver coloured metal and a black metal a zirconium ring is unlikely to cause allergies as it is a hypoallergenic metal, none of our zirconium rings contain any nickel. Like titanium it is resistant to all types of corrosive agents. You are thinking do we have any zirconium rings with cubic zirconia, the answer is no as it would be too confusing.
Spinning Ring Spinning Ring Fiddle or spinning rings are for people who like to fiddle with their ring. Availabe in all metals and various styles there are his and hers bands in white gold, platinum, paladium and gold mixes yellow and white. Typically the method used is the same as found in an ancient greek temple to spin a statue ie. ballbearings are used to allow the interior of the ring to turn.
